These 100% silk liner socks in mid-length help to keep feet warm and dry. Perfect for those with circulation issues, they add an extra layer of comfortable warmth. Silk is naturally odour resistant and moisture absorbent, so your feet will feel dry and fresh. To minimise wear-points on these super-thin socks, keep toenails short and avoid friction with coarse woollen socks. The longer version are designed to be worn in ski boots.
Endorsed by Lydia Bradey, the first woman to climb Everest without oxygen: "Since I first discovered Silksak liners I have never used any other product."

scary black colour leeching
I bought these socks as liners for hiking socks. Washed them by hand before using for first time. As happens on hikes – it rained. the socks not only leeched black dye all over my feet but also on to my trouser hem. Almost impossible to get out of my feet. Black dye is the most toxic of all colours to absorb into ones body. Totally not impressed!

working just fine
I wear three pair of them under 3-ply Dachstein wool socks. Keep up the good work!

Definitely not hard-wearing
I was most disappointed with the silk socks I bought especially to take to the Arctic, to wear under wool socks. I wore them for one week, washing them in cool water with soap every night, and drying them on a towel rack. Having treated them so gently, and wearing them only as undersocks, I was disappointed to see that a large hole had developed. I recall neither snagging them or damaging them in any other way – I dont see how I could have. Or perhaps I was unrealistic in my expectation of longer wear? If so, they were a very expensive mistake!
