Two SilkLiving Favourites - Saffron and Sunset

Whether you’re enjoying the warmth of Spring with its promise of Summer, or the glory of the changing leaves as Fall kicks in, the changing seasons often inspire the desire for change in the way we present ourselves.

It’s not always easy to stray from the classic neutrality of Black and White. We know the monochromes; we know what they look like on us and how to wear them. They are safe.

You may find it difficult to picture yourself in more boldly coloured garments; “It’s so lovely, but that’s not my shade” – we’ve all been there! However, it may be the unknown of what to pair the colour with that is truly holding you back, rather than the colour itself. That’s where we’re here to help!

We often get emails asking for our assistance on a new way to pair SilkLiving colours. So we thought we’d put some ideas here of stunning combinations that may help you on your way to finding your next favourite colour combination.

Two of our very popular colours that make any outfit pop are Saffron and Sunset. These vibrant shades can be used in a variety of ways, perfectly paired to create a range of beautiful combinations. Many people are surprised at just how versatile these colours can be.

Saffron

Saffron is a burst of colour. Its gold tones exude warmth, bringing sunshine to your wardrobe. A stunning colour on its own, Saffron pairs beautifully with both light and dark shades, complementing many tones in different ways.

Black is a staple in almost every woman’s wardrobe, sometimes resulting in a look that recedes into the background. When matched with Saffron receding to the background is just not possible! Saffron is a colour burst against the Black hue, the contrast makes them a stunning pair.

Saffron and Chocolate – a match made in heaven. The warmth of the Brown and Gold creates a visually stunning combination. Saffron still ‘pops’ against the Chocolate, but it is a slightly gentler contrast than Black.

Navy is a must-have alternative as a choice of base, and Blue and Yellow are an all-time favourite. There is less overt contrast between these two colours, so for a softer combination this is perfect for you.

Sunset

The colour Red is one of the boldest and most exciting shades to wear which helps explain the unwavering popularity of SilkLiving’s Sunset. But given how bold it is, choosing the colours to go with Sunset can be a bit of a head-scratcher.

Red and Pink are a fashion-girl favourite, and our Sunset and Shell Pink complement each other perfectly. Given that they come from the same colour family you really can’t go wrong with these two.

Chocolate is the new Black and is another great partner for Sunset. The earthy tones within the two colours ensure they complement each other beautifully. Vibrant and warm, they are an unexpected yet stunning combination.

Sunset and White are a timeless combination providing energy and drama without sacrificing elegance. The hint of cream in our Natural White gives this pairing a distinctive yet gentle composition.

Of course, these are not the only combinations we recommend for these two colours. Saffron is stunning with Nile Green and with Natural White. Sunset creates a striking contrast against Atlantic or Damson. If you’re feeling really daring, these two prime colours are fabulous together! And please feel free to send us a picture of yourself in your favourite SilkLiving combination!
