What are the features of the new site?

A while ago we asked you what you wanted from our Silkbody website and we’ve spent the past few months making as many of those wishes a reality as we possibly can. We think we’ve created a much more user-friendly and streamlined shopping experience. We hope you agree. So here’s what you will find on www.silkliving.com that you couldn’t find before:

  • Shop by size and colour. Now you can filter your shopping searches so you can shop those garments that meet your size or colour requirements.
  • Mobile and tablet friendly. Now you can shop with ease from any of your devices and get the full experience - no zooming in and rotating screens!
  • New-look shopping pages with available colours and alternate images on display. On your home shopping page the layout is now a little easier on the eye so you can quickly browse through the products. You can immediately see all available colours for each garment, and each image has a hover function so you can quickly see a model image and a garment image without having to click through to the product. 
  • Tracked shipping for all international orders. The uncertainty of airmail was doing our heads in. The lack of tracking for international shipments was causing some customers anxiety as they waited for their new silk items to arrive - often with packing space earmarked for a trip away! So we now only use DHL for orders outside New Zealand. Our standard tracked service is scanned at pick-up and scanned when it arrives in your country. We do recommend you pay a bit extra for DHL Express, which will is fully tracked from us to your door and takes only 2-4 days. What you lose in extra shipping costs ($20 to Australia or $50 to elsewhere, unless they have reached the free shipping threshold), you gain in speed and traceability.
  • New lifetime discounts for all repeat customers. We have established a tiered discount system that rewards our loyal customers called SilkStatus. The more you spend, the bigger your lifetime discount. These discounts are applied automatically at checkout. You don't need to tick any boxes or keep track of points to benefit. We have several more features we are working to install over the next few months, such as a wishlist and recently viewed items. Watch this space! Please let us know what you think of the new site in the meantime.
